The Story

My journey to Pilates began during one of the most transformative seasons of my life: motherhood.

After having two babies a year apart, my body felt unfamiliar. I was grateful for all it had done, but I often felt disconnected. The strength, confidence, and body awareness I once knew seemed harder to access amidst the demands of caring for two young children. Like many women, I was looking for a way to feel like myself again—not just physically, but mentally as well.

That's when I found Pilates.

What started as a way to rebuild my core and support my postpartum recovery quickly became something much more. I have always been a person who loved exercise and being active, but in this stage of life it felt more like a chore and something to just power through and "get over with." Then, I found Pilates.

Pilates taught me how to reconnect with my body with patience and intention. It helped me understand the importance of breath, pelvic floor health, alignment, and functional strength and how to slow down and enjoy working out again in this "new body". More importantly, Pilates reminded me that strength isn't about returning to who you were before—it's about appreciating who you are now and building from there.

Through consistent practice, I became stronger than I had ever been. I moved with greater confidence, felt more capable in my everyday life, and developed a deeper respect for what my body was capable of.

That experience inspired the start of Third Degree Pilates.

At Third Degree Pilates, I teach foundational mat Pilates rooted in the classical method with a modern appreciation for the demands of real life—especially for women and mothers. My classes focus on building strength from the inside out, developing core stability, improving posture and mobility, and creating a stronger connection between mind and body.

Whether you're postpartum, new to Pilates, returning to movement after time away, or simply looking to feel stronger and more confident in your body, my goal is to provide a welcoming space where you can move with purpose and build a foundation that supports you far beyond the mat. I believe Pilates should feel empowering, approachable, and effective. It isn't about perfection—it's about creating strength, confidence, and resilience through intentional movement.

Thank you for being here!
